Intellectuals shouldn't be blind
We are passing through a frustrating time. The ordinary people of Bangladesh are divided between the Awami League and the BNP. The intellectuals are also divided. To those who support the Awami League, whatever AL do is good. It is all the same for the pro-BNP intellectuals. It is really a great shame for us. I think intellectuals should support only the good initiatives by politicians that will be beneficial to the mass people. As a nation we are in great trouble now because of the inefficient and corrupt political leaders. We have seen both the major political parties in power. They are all the same. If intellectuals only support the good deeds of the government and of other political parties and protest the wrongdoings of politicians, then they may change.
There are also some honest intellectuals who are fair while putting comments on national issues. But their voices have been suppressed by the so-called intellectuals. My humble request to all the intellectuals, please support only the good things and criticise the bad things in spite of your soft spot for a specific political party. Otherwise as a nation we would be at stake in the future.
