Moral standard of parliamentarians

A frustrated voter, Dhaka

I feel that laws should be passed so that without attending at least sixty percent of the days during which the parliament is in session (except for duly medical reasons), members of parliament will not be entitled to any salary and monetary benefits. For MPs; the principle of "no work no pay" should apply to force them to be obliged to attend parliament. Given our lack of principles and morality, they may try to get elected to parliament and if not in the majority party, go on throwing their weight around wherever possible! Given this moral standard of some of our parliamentarians, I wonder if our democracy is really what it is supposed to be. This practice must be stopped. But who will bell the cat? Being elected is only a stepping stone for enhancing many MPs' economic status.
