Bogura-6 by-election ends with 42.49% voter turnout
By-polls to the Bogura-6 (Sadar) constituency ended today with 42.49 percent turnout of voters, said Bogura returning officer's office. This did not include postal ballots.
Meanwhile, vote counting began after polling ended in the by-election to the 13th Jatiya Sangsad.
According to the returning officer’s office, the constituency saw a voter turnout of 29.67 percent at 2:00pm today.
The voting, which started at 7:30am via paper ballots, concluded at 4:30pm.
According to sources at Bogura district election office, there are 150 polling stations and the total voters of the constituency is 454,043.
Rezaul Karim Badsha from BNP, Abidur Rahman from Jamaat-e-Islami and Al Amin Talukder from Bangladesh Development Party are contesting the by-polls.
