Obstacles to establishing women's rights

It goes without saying that with the change of time, women have advanced more. In the past women could not play active role in our society. Their position in the family was very discreditable. Now they are no longer confined within the four walls. They have come out of the kitchen and are working shoulder to shoulder with men in all the development activities of the country. Now men have understood that the true development of a country is never possible without contribution of half of the population. But still there are some obstacles: Gender discrimination is not yet over; women are often victimised; they are constantly harassed at their workplaces; their remuneration is negligible, especially in the garment sector; women are still paid less than men, etc. All these things have to change if we really want to ensure women's rights.
