Personalised politics killing us
I cannot believe that a country that has suffered so much to gain its independence cannot accept differences in opinions. That is what politics is about: opinions and philosophy. Bangladesh is a wonderful place with magnificent potentials, which are ruined by its attitude to politics and its treatment of its best resources -- its people. As an outsider, please let me comment on what I see. I see a country that could be a major player in this region and the world. However, the politics of personalities is a major hindrance to this country's increasing regional and global stature.
Hartal violence is crime. Miscreants must be arrested. Please Bangladesh, respect the sacrifice of those who died in your War of Independence. You deserve better than your current leaders.
