Political unrest ruins academic life

Photo: Star Photo: Star I appreciate Wasim Bin Habib's report, published on March 5, 2013 in your daily that focused on the plight of the students due to the recent political unrest. The report highlights that the academic activities at the educational institutions are hampered or about to stop because of the political situation in the country. Teachers are not sure whether they will be able to complete the syllabus in time or not. Students cannot concentrate on study because of the postponement of exams one after another. The examination controller of National University has expressed his deep concern over the plight of the students. I am a 2nd-year student of Titumir College. Already two of our six exams have been postponed. I hope the political parties concerned would think twice before announcing a strike or any such programme that severely hampers our academic activities.
