Punish Kansat culprits
After the court verdict against Jamaat-e-Islami leader Delwar Hossain Sayedee was announced, severe violence erupted across the country. It caused deaths and destruction of public properties. A power station at Kansat in Chapainawabganj was burned down by the mob causing blackout at Shibganj and adjacent areas. We came to know from the newspaper reports that the incident has left more than forty thousand people without electricity. The incident hugely affected the people of these areas. As the SSC examination was going on, the examinees were affected by this blackout. Agriculture was worst affected by this blackout. The paddy fields of the area dried out as there was no electricity for irrigation.
I would request the government to find out the real culprits and bring them to book for committing this heinous crime. I also request the government to ensure security of the important installations like this so that no more such installations can be attacked by any vested quarters.
