This is not the first time, so he should resign.

But...we were not wrong.

Can Mr. Muhit remember when was the last time he was right? He was also the finance minister when H M Ershad was in power from '82 to '83 and he 'escaped' to the USA and stayed there for a long nine years until he returned to join Awami League in 2001. And now the country is paying the price while the finance minister is on a rampage criticising almost anything that comes in his way.

It is good that he admitted his mistake, but it is not genuine if one just says sorry but does not learn from one's mistakes. Sadly, the finance minister continues to make way for too many mistakes and outrageous statements. The finance minister and home minister are the two major blemishes on this government's face. Blame it on his age if you want, but that is still not a good excuse and he should resign or be removed from the cabinet.
M Shafiqula
I think our finance minister's intellectual ability to give direction is raw and pathetic.
Md Mozahedul Islam
Honourable finance minister, we appreciate your saying sorry. During your tenure we hardly saw you doing anything right for the nation on the economic front.

Dear finance minister, you were wrong and failed to do anything in most of the cases such as Bismillah Group scam, Destiny scam, Share Market scam, construction of Padma Multi-purpose Bridge and so on.
Md Shah Alam Khan, Canada
Yes, you are wrong in all your work and made our life hell in your four-year term. You are hungry for power. You are one of them who are destroying the present government's image.
Iftekhar Hassan
Shut down Anti-Corruption Commission or bring in efficient and honest people to run the ACC. Anti-Corruption Commission lost all its credibility with the Padma Bridge investigation, when they let minister Abul Hossain escape the music of justice.

History is often cruel but it is unfortunate that very few learn from history.

Khaleda Zia continues to make seditious comments against the government. She has already said that army would not play the role of “a silent spectator while people are getting killed” and that it would “play its role in due time”. She is encouraging people to "oust" the government and calling on people to take "action" which could only mean to continue with senseless agitation and violence.
Jcrocdale
It's unbelievable! We are to hear such trash talks from an ex-PM of a country!

Dear leader of the opposition, the present government has already been in office for the last four years out of its five-year tenure. So what is the point of ousting them in their last year? Please wait for the election and then come to power. Moreover, Bangladesh is a democratic country, so if you wish your party will remain in power for eternity, then you are not advocating democracy and want to establish your autocratic rule! Lastly, please highlight the successes of your own party. Think positive! Make people vote for you for your own strengths and not for your opponents' weaknesses.
