Sayedee's face on the moon
A silly joke was played on the facebook by Jamaat-Shibir activists to gain public support, but the plan did not come off well, rather it became a huge mockery of Sayedee. An edited picture was disseminated through facebook that depicted Sayedee's face appearing on the moon's surface. Even for the non-facebook users', a public announcement was made using mosque-megaphone throughout various parts of the country. Shibir activists seem to have gone out of their minds as they are implicated in vandalism, extortions, burning of National Flag, attacking the minorities, murdering cops, damaging sculptures, desecration of Islamic places of prayer. They say they are following the path of Islam but all the misdeeds they committed have done go against the fundamental tenets of Islam. They really need to understand what Islam is and what messages Islam have conveyed to us. Cramming the Quran without understanding does not make one an Islamic scholar. Bangladesh really needs to get rid of these religious fundamentalists as soon as possible.
