Shop entrances not accessible to physically challenged

I feel extreme disappointment when attempting to enter stores and restaurants in Dhaka as a wheelchair-bound person. In the 21st century, one would assume that most stores can afford to invest in a basic ramp to make it easier for disabled people to enjoy the same rights as everyone else does. Unfortunately, this hasn't changed in the last ten years I have been living back in my own country. It's an embarrassment for large non governmental organisations which fund many of these large stores in well-known areas such as Gulshan and Dhanmondi. In most countries, it's not an issue but in Dhaka we are yet to step into 21st century in offering everyone the same access. We want to be progressive, yet we ignore the most basic requests.
