Many tourists had been stranded in Cox's Bazar, Rangamati, Sylhet and other areas during hartals. Private tour operators are counting huge loss as foreign tourists are cancelling their bookings. The tourists who are already in the country can not fly back home because of safety reasons.  Faridul Haque, the owner of the Tour Planner, said that his guests were stranded in the hotel rooms. They could neither go out for sightseeing nor go to the local markets for shopping. Thus the country lost huge revenue. Ekram Razu of Inbound tour operators informed that the non-stop hartal has already taken a great toll on tourism industry. His company has incurred a huge loss. Tour operators, hoteliers and travel agents earn their net profit in this season of the year. But this non-stop hartal and violence are creating hindrance to their business. Can't we avoid violence and hartal for the sake of the country's development?
