We want safe rail crossings

Three passengers died and five others were injured in a train accident at Kaliakair upazila of Gazipur on March 15. Unsafe rail-crossing is the only cause of this accident. People of this locality have informed the railway authorities several times about this unsafe rail-crossing without a gate. But the authorities didn't take any action. We can't accept such kind of accident.
I believe nobody has forgotten the tragic accident of train-bus collision that occurred in Comilla in 2011. In the investigation, unsafe rail crossing came out to be the cause behind that accident. In another train-bus collision in Jessore, five people were killed and fifteen others were injured. The cause was also the same. In fact, unsafe rail-crossing is the major cause of train accidents in our country.
We hope the authorities will look into this problem without further delay.
