Parkway introduces novel approach to treat cancer

Parkway Cancer Centre Singapore, in partnership with Champions Oncology, has recently launched a novel approach to beat cancer, says a press release.
The approach entitled “Champions TumorGraft®” is now considered as a revolutionary method to provide better patient outcomes through a more informed and effective course of customised cancer treatments.
In this procedure, patients’ cancer cell is extracted and introduced into mice to test the response of anti-cancer drugs and recurrence of cancer. Then, only the drug that is tested as highest efficacy is given to the patient to have best possible outcome. The cancer cell can also be preserved for life long to test future cancer progression or recurrence.
