Parkway offers telemedicine for patients

Parkway Cancer Centre (PCC), one of the leading cancer centres in Singapore, has introduced telemedicine service for Bangladeshi patients in order to serve them in a more efficient way. Telemedicine is an innovative technology which will offer patients to consult doctors at PCC Singapore directly. Parkway Dhaka office has organised a seminar in a local hotel in the city to share their comprehensive cancer care plan and to aware people about this latest service.
Mr Zahid Hassan Khan, Director of Parkway Health at Bangladesh office said that PCC was the first in Asia to introduce revolutionary TumorGraft™ which could accurately identify a particular drug or drug combination therapy best for the treatment of a particular cancer. “ Telemedicine is a timely addition to our holistic cancer care plan that will provide better monitoring, consultation and support to our patients while they are in Bangladesh”, he added.
With this service, newly diagnosed cancer patients can see doctors live on screen just like face to face visit and talk about cancer management plan, prognosis or can seek a second opinion. It will also be useful in the follow up process for patients who have already been treated and currently being monitored regularly from PCC, Singapore.
