"If one day the speed kills me, do not cry, because I was smiling."
November 30, 2013 marked a black day for everyone in the automotive world, as Paul Walker, star of the massive Fast and Furious franchise, died in a fiery car wreck when the Porsche Carrera GT driven by his friend (with him in the passenger seat) crashed into a tree and went up in flames.
Facebook was inundated with a thousand obituaries, which sparked up a heated debate (which we wont delve into here).
The Fast and the Furious franchise did the aftermarket and tuner car culture a massive favour, and helped it turn into the multi-billion dollar industry and urban movement that it is now.
Paul was one of us, a true gearhead on and off the screen, a rare breed of actor who was humble and gracious, and always smiling. He will be missed in the series, and no one will forget Brian O' Connor, the street racing detective.
