Ranjan, Ishita win tennis titles

Ranjan Ram and Ishita Afroze clinched the titles of men's and women's singles in the Runner Group Independence Day Open Tennis Tournament which concluded at the National Tennis Complex in Ramna yesterday.
Ranjan beat Mamun Bepari 6-4, 6-4 in the men's singles final while Ishita defeated her BKSP teammate Afrana Islam 6-3, 6-4 to lift the women's title.
It was a double delight for Ranjan, who paired up with Amal Roy to win the men's doubles beating Mofazzal Hossain and Milon Hossain pair 6-3, 7-5 in the final.
