Intra-varsity Photography Exhibition held at BAU

Intra-varsity Photography Exhibition was successfully held on August 11-12, 2016 by Bangladesh Agricultural University Photographic Society in its premises. Photographs were called from the students, teachers or anyone concerned with BAU. Total 103 photographs were submitted on miscellaneous themes and among these, 34 photographs were selected through a neutral selection process directly handled by a experienced judge panel. Saidin Saclain Nion, Debashis Doob and Shahjalal Sarker were the three respective photographers who did the job. The photographs were exhibited in Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin Auditorium-attached Muktomonccho.

The exhibition was inaugurated by the President of BAUPS, Dr. Khan Mohammad Shaiful Islam accompanied by Proctor, BAU, Prof. Dr. A.K.M. Zakir Hossain. Student Affairs Advisor, Prof. Dr. Sacchidananda Das Chowdhury and other respective faculty members joined them. The exhibition was open for all. Khaled Mohammad Shaad, General Secretary of BAUPS stated that they received a great response and positive reviews about the exhibition. He added that the first intra-varsity photography contest was successful beyond expectation.

The entire BAUPS team tried their best to introduce thematic photographic touch to BAUians. Students spontaneously visited the exhibition and expressed their view about it. It was a great chance for them to enjoy artistic and quality photography inside BAU campus. Team BAUPS are expecting to have some more quality thematic exhibitions inside BAU to spread the sense of photography as an extra-curricular activity in future.
