Review: The foul mouthed teddy bear is back with another adventure with his buddy John. This time around, things are different as Ted is now married and on the cusp of starting a family while John is back to square one as he and Lori are divorced. Seeing as they need to adopt, they subsequently discovers that Ted isn't considered as an object rather than a sentient being. As a result of this, he loses job and his marriage is annulled. They decide to fight back with the government and establish Ted as a member of the society, and the adventures and mishaps that follow with this journey is what makes up the rest of the film.

The original Ted is considered a good movie because the overall story wasn't too serious that the characters didn't take themselves too seriously either. Because of this, it was funny and easy to digest. The sequel on the other hand is a bit different as it tries to take itself a bit too seriously. Sure there are lots of gags and laughs and so on but they also tried to infuse a very serious issue; legal rights and the society. Because it's trying to take itself too seriously, it loses the charm of the original. While this isn't a bad film by any means, it just isn't as light hearted as it used to be and that, to me, is a bit of a let-down. It still comes highly recommended if you should have friends over and need a comedy to pass the time.
