China says world should contribute to Myanmar stability
China's foreign ministry said on Tuesday ahead of a UN Security Council meeting that all actions by the international community should contribute to Myanmar's political and social stability to prevent increasing tensions, according to a report published on Reuters.
Spokesman Wang Wenbin made the comment to reporters when asked about the Security Council meeting, reports Reuters.
China is one of the five veto-wielding members of the UN Security Council that shares close relations with the military junta when it ruled the country for over two decades and later with Suu Kyi after she swept into power in 2016 after long years of incarceration, reports Outlook India.
