No chance to let this slide: Nazmul
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hassan informed that Bangladesh premier all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan was not supposed to sign with a top mobile operator in Bangladesh without letting BCB know and that the board is serving him with an official letter.
"According to our law, he was not in any way supposed to do that [sign a deal with Telenor]. The telecom company and the player, both the parties are aware about it. So at first we need to give him a chance to clarify as to why he did it and that's why we are serving him with an official letter. But one thing we know is that in no way he could do that -- it is completely illegal." said the BCB president to the reporters in Mirpur today.
And when asked if the BCB will cut the premier all-rounder some slack in this regard, Nazmul said: "No chance."
Earlier, BCB CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury met with the 32-year all-rounder at the BCB office in Mirpur today after there were news that the BCB was going to take legal action against Shakib for allegedly breaching his contract to sign a sponsorship deal with a top mobile phone operator.
