‘You never see Mushy’s emotions run really high’
Khulna Tigers' 'Big Man' Robbie Frylinck bagged five wickets today in a crucial BBPL match against Cumilla Warriors and in a press conference following the match, he commended captain Mushfiqur Rahim's ability to provide important tactical information on their opponents while also leading the side well and keeping their feet on the ground.
The all-rounder said that it was hard to bowl in T20s for a big man like him.
"It is tough. Bowling in T20s is tough. I got hit for 58 or something like that the other day although I picked up two wickets but still got hit. The wickets in Bangladesh have been so good so the bowlers' margin for error is really small and to be able to take five is a good effort and just happy I was able to contribute," he said.
Mushfiqur Rahim is having one of his better seasons in the BPL this term. The star batsman had been left unhappy with certain franchises in the past but this season his side has gelled under him. "I was with Mushy last year with the Chittagong Vikings. I know his style and I know what he is about. He a man with a wealth of knowledge and his tactics are really really good to each player we play against. He gives so much information in our team meetings in terms of plans and stuff like that and also, he can be quite calming out in the field as well," Fylinck said.
In the past, it often appeared that the star batsman lets his emotions get the better of him but this time around his overall knowledge and experience has been key for the Khulna side.
"You never really see Mushy's emotions run really high and he keeps everyone grounded. It's just a pleasure to play under him and I really enjoy it," he concluded.
