TILLAKARATNE DILSHAN
While Kumar Sangakkara is grabbing all the headlines for his supermanlike runscoring, senior statesman Tillakaratne Dilshan is quietly going about his job, albeit with a lot of aplomb. The highest run-getter in the last edition of the World Cup is very much in running this time too as he trails Sangakkara in second position by a mere 101 runs. With two centuries and a half century in five matches, including yesterday's 104 against Scotland, Dilshan averages 79 at a healthy strike rate of 98.25. The all-rounder has also chipped in with the odd wicket as his one for 15 yesterday took his tournament tally to five wickets at a decent economy rate of 4.88.
