BRENDAN TAYLOR

If the Zimbabwe cricket team and the fans were saddened by Brendan Taylor's sudden announcement of leaving his country for a stint with Nottinghamshire in County cricket, then they were given a cruel reminder of how much they would miss him after the wicketkeeper-batsman scored a consecutive second century in this World Cup, joining an elite list of only nine players. In what was his last innings for Zimbabwe, unless he returns after his three-year stint with Nottinghamshire, Taylor scored 138 off just 110 balls, with 15 fours and five sixes, taking him up to second position (433) in the top run-getters' list. Taylor also became the highest run-getter (433) for Zimbabwe in any World Cup and the most number of century-maker (8) for Zimbabwe in ODIs.
