Bangladesh emerging team crowned joint champions in South Africa tri-series

Bangladesh emerging men’s team were crowned joint champions of the tri-series in South Africa after their final match against the South Africa emerging team was abandoned due to rain at Tuks Oval in Pretoria on Wednesday.

Bangladesh had earlier made a strong comeback in the tournament after losing their opening match against South Africa emerging by seven wickets. They then won three consecutive matches—two against University Sport South Africa (USSA) and one against South Africa emerging—to secure their place in the final.

Bangladesh emerging team will now turn their attention to a two-match four-day series against South Africa emerging. The first match is scheduled to begin on August 16 at JB Marks Oval in Potchefstroom, while the second will be played at Willowmoore Park in Benoni from August 23.
