Bangladesh opt to field in must-win second ODI against Zimbabwe
Bangladesh won the toss and opted to field first in the second of their three-match ODI series against hosts Zimbabwe in Harare today.
The Tigers will be hoping to bounce back after a disappointing tour so far, having suffered an innings-and-85-run defeat in the one-off Test before slipping to a 25-run loss in the opening ODI.
Both defeats were marked by batting collapses, with Bangladesh failing to chase down a modest target of 142 in the first ODI -- a worrying sign ahead of the 2027 ODI World Cup in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia, where conditions are expected to be similar to those encountered in this series.
For today's encounter, Bangladesh made one change with Mustafizur Rahman making way for Shoriful Islam.
Zimbabwe, however, are going with an unchanged eleven.
