BCB reveals schedule for Australia’s white-ball tour of Bangladesh
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the itinerary for Australia’s upcoming white-ball tour of Bangladesh, with the visitors scheduled to arrive on June 5.
The three-match ODI series will be held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, with the matches scheduled for June 9, 11 and 14. All three ODIs will begin at 11:00am.
The tour will then move to Chattogram, where the Bir Sreshtho Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium will host the three T20Is on June 17, 19 and 21. All matches are set to start at 2:00pm.
The series marks Australia’s first ODI tour of Bangladesh in 15 years. The last time the Aussies played an ODI series in Bangladesh was in 2011, when Michael Clarke’s side completed a 3-0 sweep over a Shakib Al Hasan-led Bangladesh team.
Before that, Australia toured Bangladesh in 2006, with Ricky Ponting’s side also securing a 3-0 series win against a Bangladesh outfit captained by Habibul Bashar.
