Juairiya earns maiden ODI call-up in Sri Lanka series
Bangladesh Cricket Board announced women’s squad for the upcoming ODI series against Sri Lanka, with 20-year-old wicketkeeper-batter Juairiya Ferdous receiving her maiden call-up.
The three-match series is set to begin on April 20 in Rajshahi, with the remaining matches scheduled for April 22 and 25. All fixtures will be held at the Rajshahi Divisional Stadium.
Juairiya has previously represented the Tigresses in T20Is during this year’s ICC Women’s T20 World Cup qualifiers. Meanwhile, Sarmin Sultana returns to the ODI setup for the first time since 2019.
The 15-member squad will be led by captain Nigar Sultana Joty, with Nahida Akter serving as her deputy.
Dilara Akter, Shorifa Khatun, Farjana Easmin, and Tanjim Tanjehar have been named as stand-by players.
