Brazil supporters hold motorcycle procession in Rangamati
Fans of the Brazil football team organised a motorcycle procession in Rangamati town today to celebrate the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026, which is set to kick off on June 11.
At 3:00pm, Brazil supporters, dressed in various costumes and carrying Brazilian jerseys and flags, began the procession from the Rangamati Central Shaheed Minar.
The procession traversed through Tabalchhari and the bridge locally known as “Brazil Bridge” in Asam Basti area.
Hundreds of Brazil supporters from different parts of the hill town took part in the procession on motorcycles. Some of them wore their favourite team's jerseys and took pictures. Many others danced and sang.
The procession ended at Reserve Bazar via the main road of Vedvedi and Banarupa.
Debu Chakraborty, a Brazil supporter who joined the procession, said, “Brazil has a rich history in world football. It has appeared in the FIFA World Cup more than any other team. We love the artistry of Brazilian football.”
Another supporter, Ayan Tripura, said, "We are hopeful that Brazil will win the title in the upcoming World Cup. The Brazil fans from the entire town have come together. We arranged this event today to show our support and wish the Brazilian team success in the World Cup."
