Ritu Porna keeps Bangladesh level at halftime in SAFF final

Bangladesh went into the break with the scores tied after star forward Ritu Porna Chakma cancelled out India's opener in the final of the SAFF Women's Championship at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Margao, India, today.

India took the lead in the 42nd minute through Pyari Xaxa, but Ritu Porna restored parity in first-half stoppage time to ensure Bangladesh headed into halftime with the score locked at 1-1.

Earlier, head coach Peter Butler made two changes to Bangladesh's starting XI for the title clash, bringing in forwards Tohura Khatun and Shamsunnahar Jr. as defending champions Bangladesh took on five-time winners India.
