11th Dhaka Bank Victory Day Cup Golf Tournament held

The 11th Dhaka Bank Victory Day Cup Golf Tournament 2025 was inaugurated on December 10 and held over four days at the Army Golf Club.

The tee-off ceremony took place on December 12 at 9:30am, while the tournament officially concluded on December 13 with a prize-giving ceremony and gala night at 7:30pm.

General Waker-Uz-Zaman, SBP, OSP, SGP, psc, Chief of Army Staff of the Bangladesh Army and Chief Patron of the Army Golf Club, attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest. Dhaka Bank PLC chairman Abdul Hai Sarker was present as a special guest.

Founder vice-chairman of Dhaka Bank PLC ATM Hayatuzzaman Khan, director Reshadur Rahman, former director Altaf Hossain Sarker, managing director (current charge) AKM Shahnawaj, and Major General Khan Firoz Ahmed, OSP, NDC, AFWC, PSC, president of the Army Golf Club, were also present.

As part of the Victory Day celebrations, Dhaka Bank honoured freedom fighter golfers to uphold the spirit of the Liberation War.

The tournament, organised for the 11th consecutive year in association with the Army Golf Club, featured five amateur categories -- senior, junior, regular, ladies and veteran -- with around 900 golfers, including foreign players, taking part.
