On Youth and Depression
I find the article titled "On Youth and Depression" published last week, very much informative and helpful in understanding why and how the youth are going into depression. There was a time, I too suffered from one type of severe depression called 'inferiority complex'. With little hope inside me, I was having hard time dealing with my mental health. But things started changing for better when I decided to come out of the shell. I had some counseling which helped me overcoming my problem. The disparity between what families expect from the youth and what actually the youth wants to do is one of the depression causing factors. Psychologists say that fragile family bonding can lead to the onset of depression, so parents should give enough time to their children.

Gas Crisis Hits Dhaka Dwellers
The article titled "Gas Crisis Hits Dhaka Dwellers" published in Star Weekend on December 23, 2016  talks about how the recent gas crisis has become the talks of the town today.  We the residents in Rampura have been suffering from the gas crisis this winter, like every year. There were days when we had to rely on store-bought food, restaurants and alternative methods of cooking. In our area gas comes at around 7 am in the morning, that too at a very low pressure. We need to rush to finish cooking. While we keep ranting about the shortage in gas supply specially during winter, we too need to act responsible while using it. Equally wasteful is the practice of leaving your tap open while washing your clothes. We often tend to forget that natural resources like these are limited and we need to be careful while using them.
