A special edition of “Gan Diye Shuru” will be dedicated to Alam Khan’s memory, featuring tribute performances by Tasmeem Zaman Swarna, Biksham, and Orthi. Earlier in the day, another edition of the programme will showcase a selection of timeless film songs composed by the late maestro.

It's always emotional to reminisce on the beloved stars we've lost over the past years, but this year has been especially tragic, given how many of our brightest stars we have lost this year. While their absence saddens us, their memories and contributions are vivid in our minds.  As we approach the New Year, The Daily Star takes a moment to mourn the stars we lost in 2022. 

The song “Orey Neel Doriya” is more than enough to encapsulate the genius that Alam Khan is as a composer.
