While all our expectations from this pivotal moment may not have been fulfilled, we have, nevertheless, obtained a roadmap for moving forward. Bangladesh is soon going to have a parliament with members elected through a largely credible competition.

Any viable Third Way political idea must resonate with ordinary citizens and galvanise public support in the next democratic election.

It is crucial for the interim government to focus on setting a strong foundation for future changes.
