The Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) is organising a three-day public film screening to mark the death anniversary of popular Dhallywood actor Salman Shah.

Fans of classic Bangla cinema will have the opportunity to watch “Tomake Chai” on the big screen free of charge later this month.

Alongside television and film, theatre remained a major part of her artistic life. She joined Aranyak Natyadal in 1992 and performed on stage for nearly three decades.

Celebrating this legacy, Old Dhaka-based multiplex Lion Cinemas has organised a special week-long film screening dedicated to the late actor.

The much-anticipated biopic on late Dhallywood superstar Salman Shah, directed by veteran filmmaker Chotku Ahmed, has been shelved following objections raised by the actor's mother, Neela Chowdhury.

Since their undertaking, 11 of the star’s films have been digitally remastered and can be watched through digital medium. The films are, “Keyamot Theke Keyamot”, “Denmohor”, “Prem Juddho”, “Shotter Mrittu Nei”, “Shopner Prithibi”, “Bikkhob”, “Jibon Songsar”, “Mohamilon”, “Asha Bhalobasa”, “Ananda Ashru”, and “Ontore Ontore”.

Bangladesh Film Archive is set to showcase two iconic films featuring the beloved Bangladeshi film star, Salman Shah, on the big screen. The Salman Shah Fan Club has announced that the movies "Jibon Songsar", directed by Zakir Hossain Raju, and "Bikkhov", directed by Mohammad Hannan, will be screened at the Bangladesh Film Archive on the upcoming Friday.

The dynamic duo of Salman Shah and Shabnur delivered numerous cinematic hits, from "Shopner Thikana" to "Anondo Osru". Their on-screen chemistry was enchanting enough to draw crowds to the cinemas, just to witness their magic.

On the occasion of Salman Shah's death anniversary, Shabnur took to her social media and posted three pictures with him, captioning, “Where have you gone, Salman? Your memories still leave me in tears.”
