Apple hires ex-Google executive to lead AI product marketing
Apple has hired Lilian Rincon, an ex-Google executive, as its vice president of product marketing for artificial intelligence, the tech giant recently announced.
Rincon spent nearly a decade at Google overseeing its shopping and assistant products. She will report to Greg Joswiak, Apple's marketing chief. Before joining Google, she held positions at Microsoft and Skype.
The appointment comes as Apple prepares to release an improved version of its virtual assistant Siri later this year, rebuilt with technology from Google's Gemini AI model. The company is reportedly restructuring its AI teams to align with market demands and competitive pressures.
