Micro-philanthropists from around the world who want to donate in small amounts can directly connect with those in need through ImpactGiv. The platform can also facilitate the NGOs and philanthropic organizations in giving away grants for purpose-driven projects. People on the receiving end can access the resources they need from the platform –– such as, non-repayable grants, micro-scholarships, or waivers to propel their projects.

Anyone can be a micro-philanthropists by submitting grant proposals through the ImpactGiv website. Grants can be small sums of money or mentorship. Those in need, then, can apply for any available grants listed on the website by filling out an application form. From a vetted applicant pile, micro-philanthropists who hosted the grant will choose the changemakers they want to fund or work with.

"Growing up in Dhaka, I was fortunate enough to access fundamental necessities for a decent life. However, I took careful notice of various systemic challenges of those financially disadvantaged faced around me from childhood. My immigration to Canada made it clearer to me that discrimination only transforms socio-economically –– and a philanthropic bridge between the developed and the developing nations needs to be built to reduce it," said Nabil B. Arif, the founder of ImpactGiv.

The platform has been able to host more than $1000 grants in just three months. They aspire to bring in more than $20,000 or about 100 grants by 2024.
