EA to develop video games set in the Marvel Universe

They are starting with a new Iron Man game

American video game company Electronic Arts Inc. is entering a partnership with renowned entertainment company Marvel Entertainment in a new deal to produce three original video games based on popular Marvel comic book characters. 

The first Marvel game developed by EA has already been announced, and it will be based on Iron Man, the eccentric billionaire inventor and a central character of the first few phases of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) movies .

The EA-Marvel Iron Man game will be developed by EA Motive, a Canada-based studio of Electronic Arts Inc. EA Motive is currently working on the remake of the survival horror game Dead Space, which is due release on January 2023. 

Details regarding the release of the EA-Marvel Iron Man game have not been confirmed yet. However, EA Motive confirmed in a tweet that the game will be a single-player, action-adventure game. The game is currently in playtesting phase.

According to EA's official Facebook page, the other EA-Marvel games will also be action-adventure games for both consoles and PC. Additionally, each game, including the currently announced Iron Man game, will follow an original story set in the Marvel Universe.

EA hasn't yet confirmed what other Marvel comic book characters will be used in future games, or any expected timeline of official releases.
