Xiaomi unveils electric hypercar concept for Gran Turismo
Xiaomi has unveiled a full-scale concept model of an electric hypercar at Mobile World Congress 2026. Called the Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo, the vehicle was created specifically for the Gran Turismo racing game series.
The company claims this marks the first time a technology company has been invited to join the Vision Gran Turismo project, an initiative where designers create virtual dream cars without real-world manufacturing constraints. Gran Turismo producer Kazunori Yamauchi extended the invitation last year at the GT World Series in London.

The concept's design philosophy, called 'Sculpted by the Wind', focuses on balancing low drag and high downforce. Through simulated testing, Xiaomi says it achieved a drag coefficient of 0.29, downforce of negative 1.2, and an aerodynamic efficiency rating of 4.1.
Notable features include an Active Wake Control System using micro-perforations around the taillight to actively guide airflow, and Accretion Rims with wheel covers that remain stationary while the car moves to reduce drag. The cockpit adopts a teardrop silhouette with airfoil-shaped structural members.

The interior, dubbed 'Sofa Racer', moves away from traditional bucket seats toward a cocoon-like cockpit with 3D-knit natural fabric seating. It includes Xiaomi Pulse, an intelligent assistant built into the dashboard, and Xiaomi HyperVision, an adaptive interface integrated with the company's 'Human x Car x Home' smart ecosystem.
Xiaomi also conceived a driving simulator designed as furniture that blends into living spaces, allowing users to practice driving from home.
To note, the vehicle exists only as a virtual concept for the Gran Turismo franchise and is not intended for production.
