Thanks to CMP for freeing Ctg footpath

The recent initiative taken by Chittagong Metropolitan Police has reduced the horrendous traffic jam to a great extent in EPZ area. Earlier it took two to three hours to cross the Chittagong EPZ area but now it takes just a few minutes to pass the same area from Chittagong International Airport.

The makeshift shops on the footpaths were solely responsible for the gridlock as a large number of garment workers used to buy things from these shops hindering the normal flow of traffic. The local ruling party goons in collusion with some police staff have allowed the hawkers to erect those shops as they get a certain percentage from their income. Since these shops have been evicted, people can now walk on the footpath and vehicles can move smoothly. People are lauding the CMP commissioner for his role in freeing the footpaths.

We congratulate the police department on taking the praiseworthy steps to reduce traffic jam and we are looking forward to seeing the same in other busy sections of the city.
