The Next Gambit

While we don't have any clue what it's going to be called, we do know that Channing Tatum was the man picked to replace Taylor Kitsch as Gambit in Fox's X-Men franchise. Not that Kitsch did a terrible job in the mostly-reviled X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but it was just time for Fox and producer Lauren Shuler Donner to take the character in another direction, especially with the success of the last two X-Men films. As we already know from media rumours, Tatum believed that he was right for the job, and Donner, a very wise and perceptive producer, agreed because the actor basically prints his own money right now! We can add a release date to the list of things we know about Tatum's Gambit spin-off, because Tatum tweeted out this oh-so-cryptic message earlier last week: “How do you say October 7, 2016 in Cajun?”
