'Transformers 4' nominated for seven Razzie Awards
The organizers of the Razzie Awards, who single out the worst of Hollywood with golden raspberry-shaped trophies, have revealed their selection of the low points of the past year in film. "Transformers: Age of Extinction," "Saving Christmas," "The Legend of Hercules" and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" were all slammed with multiple nominations.
"The Interview," which was on the Razzie's shortlist of finalists, ultimately escaped in the nominations round.
"Transformers: Age of Extinction," on the other hand, was disgraced with a whopping seven nominations, including one for worst picture. The action film is followed by Kirk Cameron's "Saving Christmas" and "The Legend of Hercules" -- tied with six nominations each -- and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" with five.
This year, the Razzies have introduced a new category: the Redeemer Award. This distinction will honor stars who have turned their career and reputation around after questionable choices in the past.
The winners will be announced the day before the Oscars, on February 21.
