Vegetable train

Vegetable train

The vegetable growers do not get good price for their produces at the local markets. On the other hand, the urban people buy vegetables at high prices. But the money does not go to the farmers. At present, there is hardly any vegetable at the market that sells below tk. 40/ per kg. The government can start a 'vegetable train' which will run through villages to big cities. The farmers will load vegetables from their area and when the train reaches the cities, traders will buy vegetables directly from farmers and sell it at city markets. This way, vegetable growers will get good price for their produce and city people will get vegetables at a fair price. The government and the railway department may kindly consider this proposal.
