Putin to be 'immortalised'
A bronze bust of Russian president Vladimir Putin – in the style of a Roman emperor – will be unveiled next month to honour his supposed ability "to bring order and end wars".
The idea to celebrate Putin's alleged achievements was sparked by the anniversary of Russia's allied victory over the Nazis and it now being one year since it seized the Crimean peninsula from the Ukraine after a 97 per cent 'yes' result in a referendum.
Andrey Polyakov, the leader of the St Petersburg Cossack group Irbis, said that the sculpture will be installed near Parnas station in north St Petersburg.
