Young job seekers cheated in Nilphamari

Sagar Chowdhury, 'Regional Manager' of Niloy Security Service (Private) Ltd here fled away from the town taking a good amount of money, he collected from young job seekers in name of providing them employments of security guards in offices and other establishments.

This way he collected an amount of about Tk 10 lakh from more than 100 job seeking young men. Each and every job seeker paid to him Tk 5,000 to 20,000.

However, he failed to provide any job for anyone. Virtually the matter came to the notice of Sadar thana police. Policemen raided the office on Saturday night. But Sagar Chowdhury failed to show any document in support of his claim to possess a license from the Labour Ministry numbering 37279/96, Dhaka.

Surprisingly police freed him for 'reason unknown.'

After being freed left Sagar the scene within a few hours. His office is now under lock and key while the cheated job seekers are in a quandary.
