Tk 22 cr disbursed for poverty alleviation
Bangladesh Rural Development Board (BRDB) under its poverty alleviation programme disbursed over Tk 22 cr loan among poor people of the district.
BRDB sources said the loan was disbursed among 16,400 poor and distressed families in four upazilas.
The loan was given for buying rickshaw van, re-excavation of derelict pond, poultry and dairy farming, embroidery, goat rearing and small business.
