Police fail to find any clue in 6 months
The double murder was discussed at a meeting of the district law and order committee which monitor investigation into sensational cases.
Night guards Shahabuddin, 55 and Mosabbir Ali, 45, were killed by miscreants at the Forest Extension and Training Centre at Sheikhghat in the city while they were asleep in the verandah on the night of January 12.
Windows grills were found cut and Tk 40,000 and some important papers missing from the iron safe at the office after the murders. Some files were seen strewn on the floor.
Deputy Ranger Balaram Roy filed a case on the next day.
Police arrested four persons within 2 two days. They are Nazmul and Kabir, Arman, and Nur Mohammad Patwari, owner of a shop in front of the forest office.
Police took them on three days' remand.
Initially, police thought it to be a dacoity. Later they suspected some other reasons behind the incident. But no clue has been found yet.
