Toll collectors caught by people
People caught two miscreants as they demanded toll from the owner of an under-construction house in the city on Tuesday.
The two-- Jasim Uddin alias Joishya and Ebadul Haqwere handed over to police after a mob beating.
Police said, the two had gone to the house owner at South Halishahar under Bondar thana, demanded Tk 50,000 and asked him to suspend the construction work till payment of toll.
Jasim was earlier accused in three criminal cases, police.
Meanwhile, Panchlaish police in a raid in Nazirpara area in the city arrested 'listed terrorist' Abu Bakar alias Kalu on Tuesday.
