'Police informer' killed by outlaws

Purba Banglar Communist Party (PBCP-ML) claimed responsibility for the murder of Abdur Razzak, 40, police said.

PBCP in a fax message said Razzak was not only a police informer but also an extortionist and rapist.

Eyewitnesses said Razzak was abducted at arms point from near a police van on patrol duty at Kalkali Bazar.

The killers also took away the body.

Police said the victim was also a 'listed terrorist' having links with another faction of PBCP (Janajuddho) leaded by Tapan Mahmud.
