Chinese journalists accorded reception by CMUJ

The Chittagong Metropolitan Union of Journalists (CMUJ) accorded a reception to the six-member visiting Chinese journalists delegation at its office in the city on Wednesday.

The delegation led by Wei Mingxian, Executive Secretary of the Secretariat of All China Journalists Association, arrived here from Dhaka earlier on the day.

CMUJ leaders welcomed the delegation and shared their experience. During discussion, the two sides stressed the need for more exchange of visits by journalists and cultural teams to deepen the bonds of friendship between Bangladesh and China.

Chinese journalists referred to the friendly relations between China and Bangladesh and said interaction between journalists will further strengthen the ties.

The CMUJ leaders said Bangladesh people regard China as a development partner and true friend and requested the visiting journalist to convey this message to their countrymen.

Mrs Zhou Baoyl, Deputy Director of China Radio International, He Yeanil, Editor in Chief of Front Line, Bi Zheng, Liu Zhengfei and Hu Hui were the other members of the delegation.

Abdur Rahman, executive of National Press Club, also accompanied the visiting delegation.

Among others, CMUJ founding president Nazir Ahmed, CMUJ President Iskander Ali Chowdhury and general secretary Kashem Mahmood, BFUJ Vice-president Zahidul Karim Kachi and Osman Gani Chowdhury spoke at the reception.
