Dur-re Rahman's death condoled
The teachers and students of Rajnagar Degree College here have condoled the death of Begum Dur-re Samad Rahman, wife of Finance and Planning Minister M Saifur Rahman MP, and mother of M Naser Rahman MP.
A condolence meeting was held at the college auditorium on November 3 with Principal Md Quresh Khan in the chair.
While discussing the life and works of the diseased, they recalled various human aspects of her characteristics.
Vice Principal Professor Jilal Uddin, Professor Md Abdul Gafur, Professor Rajat Kanti Goswami, Professor Debotosh Chowdhury, Professor Ramananda Debnath and Professor AKM Emadadul Hoque spoke.
Shahabuddin Chowdhury, Poly Begum and Shakir Uddin addressed on behalf of the students.
The eldest son of the diseased M Naser Rahman, MP, happens to be the chairman of the governing body of the college.
